The Artist

Samantha Louise Harrell, founder and illustrator of Sam Louise & Co., is a visionary creative in the fashion/art world. With a BFA in fashion design from Savannah College of Art and Design, Sam honed her craft and developed a keen eye for the intersection of art and fashion. After gaining invaluable industry experience, she departed her traditional fashion design role in 2020 and pivoted toward her passion for fashion illustration.

Combining her design knowledge and innate artistic talent, Sam embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that started with the birth of Sam Louise—a fashion illustration brand. In 2021, Sam Louise became Sam Louise & Co.—a lifestyle e-commerce boutique that has grown to include accessories, home decor, and gifts that feature fashion illustrations, bridal art, floral prints, and more. While Sam is no longer just a fashion illustrator, her use of color and contrast in a feminine manner has remained consistent across her art, and her hand-illustrated designs are the heart of Sam Louise & Co.

Sam demonstrates a diverse approach in her creative process. With a preference for artist pens and professional markers, she employs bold strokes and vibrant colors to hand-illustrate her works. Additionally, Sam seamlessly incorporates digital tools, allowing her to enhance and refine the finer details while staying true to the authentic, handcrafted essence of her art.
